Active & Passive Fibers
SLP offers rare-earth doped active fibers that are used for such applications as fiber lasers, optical amplifiers, and ASE sources. Active fibers are doped with Ytterbium (Yb), Erbium (Er), Erbium / Ytterbium (EY), and Thulium (Tm) and come in different configurations to meet specific applications and customer requirements. Other dopants such as Neodymium (Nd) are also available.
SLP delivers a complete line of passive single clad and double clad optical fibers, including matched fibers, beam delivery fibers, attenuating, photosensitive, and nonlinear fibers. Passive fibers are used for fiber laser and amplifier components and beam delivery applications or for devices used in telecommunications networks.
